Spices and Rubs
Fish and Poultry Rub
Simple rub to make in a hurry. You can make extra to have on hand, however as with most spices...they do have a shelf life and they're always better freshly ground.
- 1 Tbs Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder (granulated garlic can be substituted. NOT garlic salt)
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tbs Freshly Minced Parsley (if not available, use 1/2 tsp dried)
Variations:
Want to give this a little kick for a Cajun style rub? Add 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Want to use as a slow cooked BBQ rub for Beef, Pork or Poultry? Add 1 Tbs Brown Sugar and 1/2 tsp dried Cumin).
